Isabel , Jayadev Kate , Carlos , and Talise were working on building the robot and programming it . Camdyn Mia Veni Lydia worked on printing different project's , finding facts and working on the website. There is a homework assignment , there is also a homework assignment for picking team names and we talked about the field trip we went on three days ago

At the Water Pollution Control Facility we met the Superattendent, Kam and he gave us some background knowledge about the facility. Then he took us back to the lab and he let us look at some samples of water they were testing. We saw many interesting things around the facility. Finally we took the team picture in front of the Water Pollution Control Facility! Then everyone's parents and rides started showing up, so we all said goodbye and left.
-Carlos Today we presented our homework. Kate's presentation was about wastewater, my presentation was about drinking clean water, and Brandon's was about desalination. Camdyn's presentation was also about safe drinking water, Lydia's was about watering plants, and Carlos's presentation was on unsanitary water! Veni's was about fire hydrant flushing, Talise's was on saving/conserving bath and shower water, Mia's presentation was about flushing toilets, and Isabels's was on sprinklers and conserving water. After everyone shared their presentation we voted on which one we would focus on for the rest of FLL. We each got to vote two times, the person whose project got picked was Camdyn! Then once we finished voting we wrote questions on the white board that we would ask Kam Reeves from the Water Pollution Control Facility this Wednesday! But, it was soon time to leave!
-Brandon and Jayedev Today while we were waiting for our other teammates to get here we worked on our robots so we could start programming. Miss. Hinmon showed us some videos so we could get collect more facts. After the videos were over we did a teamwork activity! Hannah and Miss. Hinmon gave us feedback, they thought we did very well for our first time. Then we started working on the robots again, Veni was focusing on the website so we could start blogging on it. Veni found a theme for the website he thought we might like, we voted and that was the theme we were going to use! Sadly, by then it was time to leave!!
-Carlos At the beginning of our practice we came in and started telling where we are in are project and what we are researching. Once we shared, we started brainstorming ideas for the people who weren't quite sure what they were doing yet. We thought of people who worked with water to help with ideas. Then once we finished our list we watched a couple of videos. The videos gave us more facts on water and water plants. It also gave us more knowledge on working with the table at competition. Once we finished that we had four or five people work on robots and the other kids would read books write down facts or work on their project if their weren't any jobs left. We finished multiple steps for the robot but by then it was time for the parent meeting and we had to start picking up.
-Camdyn Today at the beginning of practice we took a team picture, then shortly after that we talked about our homework assignments, then Carlos and I researched designs for our robot and the team voted on a robot to build. Finally, the team was almost finished with the models and building the three robots. We partnered up in pairs and worked away. We signed our names next to the mission models we built. Then Camdyn and Lydia made a team binder for all of our pictures and robot methods that we would use. There were also some people that read some books about water too. But soon it was time for practice to end. ):
- Brandon On Monday, September 11th, our teacher told us about our biggest project - one we will have to research & present. We have two weeks to complete it. After that, we watched videos showing the robots missions to complete & project guidelines. Later, we worked on building the lego table and robot. We had a blast!!
- Kate Ms. Hinmon our Lego League teacher told us the basics of F.L.L., then we watched 2 videos that told us some more about F.L.L. then we talked more about the basics. Then we started building the table, we made four pieces. Finally we packed up and said goodbye.
